The Jessica Murray Memorial Scholarship

Jessica Ann Murray

June 20, 1985 - June 9, 2002

This scholarship was created in honor of Jessica Murray who attended Lourdes High School.   She was diagnosed with cancer in May, 2001 and died a year later during her junior year.

Jessica participated in many activities while she was a student at Lourdes, including soccer, track, band, speech, yearbook, L-Club, and cheerleading.  She took a special interest in drama, being a part of many of the Lourdes stage productions.  Jessica was also an animal lover; her goal was to be a veterinarian.

Jessica  became admired by her friends and teachers during her year-long battle with cancer.  Her courage became in inspiration to many, and has been the basis for this scholarship.

After 3 years of growing my hair, I'm chopped it all off on Friday, May 9th, live on the air. My hair went Locks of Love, but the money I'm raising is benefiting Jessica's memorial scholarship.
